Abstracts

The call for abstracts closed on 30 April 2026 and we are no longer accepting new submissions.

Thank you very much to everyone who submitted an abstract for the 1st International Safewards Conference in Prague.

Like Safewards itself, this event has a strong practice focus, encompassing quality projects and descriptions of innovative practice, experience and recommendations from all perspectives, as well as advancing the international research evidence about the implementation and outcomes of Safewards.

Submitted abstracts may relate to a Safewards evaluation or research project, practical experience with Safewards implementation, or an issue participants wish to discuss in relation to Safewards practice.

Abstracts were submitted under one of the following subthemes:

  • Safewards experience
  • Safewards implementation
  • Safewards outcomes
  • Safewards evolving
  • Growing Safewards research
  • Safewards with new communities

Authors were invited to organise their abstracts using one of the following formats:

  • Issue, action, recommendations, references
  • Background, aim, method, results, discussion, references

Authors were also able to nominate their preferred format: paper presentation, poster presentation, or workshop.

The Scientific Committee will review each abstract and decide on the format that best fits the conference programme. Authors will be informed about the outcome of the review process in due course.

We are grateful for the strong interest in contributing to the conference programme and look forward to sharing more details soon.
